As a recruiting partner of Rauscher & Stoecklin, we are looking for a kCalc Python Backend Engineer (a), 80–100%, for the location Krzeczów, Kraków, Poland. 📍
In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of the backend of an engineering design and optimisation application. Your work will include building and optimizing RESTful APIs and managing data persistence.

What You Will Be Doing
- Design, develop and maintain the backend of an engineering design and optimization application
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs for web applications
- Manage data persistence using SQL databases and SQLAlchemy
- Collaborate with engineering and software teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and modernization of the application
What You Bring To The Job
- 3+ years of professional experience in Python backend development (Python 3.x)
- Strong experience building RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Flask
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases, ideally including MS SQL Server
- Hands-on experience with SQLAlchemy (ORM)
- Experience using Python type hints and annotations
- Familiarity with real-time communication technologies such as Server-Sent Events (SSE) or WebSockets
- Ability to work with complex data integrations across different database systems
- Interest in or exposure to engineering or electrical engineering domains is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
